Everyone knows that.
The big question, then, is when one should begin a conversation with them.
Each one. One at a time.
Yes, a conversation.
As long as it remains quiet in the room, I make up in my imagination what is about to happen. What I make up is usually something pretty horrible. A pending disaster, a fatal mistake, a hidden land mine, an imminent collapse.
In a conversation, on the other hand, I am free to participate. I don’t have to lie in the dark and speculate darkly.
And maybe… just maybe… the monsters will participate too.
When I ask, “What do you want?”, there might just come an answer.
